Aachanon Publishing was started in 2005 to provide a service in the publishing industry that was sorely needed—a high quality, low-priced means to soft-cover bookmaking. Its owner, Derek Pratt, had spent more than twenty-five years in the business, in editing, layout, typesetting, book preparation printing and sales. When he retired, his wife, Guadalupe, wrote a book about her life's experiences, and they got estimates for the book's production and printing. Derek was not surprised by the cost, but told her that because of the innovations in book preparation and technology in the previous few years, the cost of producing the book could be much less.

He formulated a plan for the self-publishing author that Aachanon has followed to this day. It is an author services company providing the necessary assistance for the writers who wants to publish their own books. Aachanon has experienced help, uses cutting-edge technology in the production of its books, and utilizes the Internet to let the world know about its services. Aachanon spends little in advertising, and, if you found us through Google or Yahoo, you probably had to dig deep to find us. Aachanon has slowly built its business through word of mouth.

Guadalupe manages Aachanon's bookbinding, cutting and shipping operations, and Derek is in charge of the cover design, typesetting and printing of the books. The third person of Aachanon's management team is a highly qualified and customer-oriented editor, Carole Mathewson, who has had thirty five years of experience as an executive and legal secretary and has worked many years in newspapers as both a journalist and copy editor. She is responsible for the smooth running of Aachanon's copy-editing and proof-reading services.

Aachanon provides an efficient and personal service for all of its customers. Derek, Guadalupe and Carole love what they do, and are dedicated to the production of quality books.
